AFM-IR: Nanoscale IR Spectroscopy and Imaging

By integrating Atomic Force Microscopy with Infrared Spectroscopy, one can chemically image in nano-scale dimension and achieve super-resolution in IR microscopy.
We can explore cellular chemistry and its variation to gain fundamental chemical insights about disease progression or we could watch proteins fold, such as amyloid fibrils, which are implicated in diseases such as Alzheimers and diabetes.
